Growing Into A Godly Woman: Do You Ever Feel Overwhelmed with Doubt?

“I cried out ‘I am slipping!’ but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me. When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me a renewed hope and cheer.” - Psalms 94:18-19

Do you ever just feel overwhelmed with doubt?

I know that I do. Seems like a millions questions are always running through my head.

• How will I ever pass that class?

• Will I ever be able to love someone as much again?

• Why aren’t I as pretty as her?

• I could never make that team, I’m not nearly as good as them.

• Can I really work alongside these people, and be a social media coordinator for the Panthers one day, I mean they are all so good.

Despite of all these doubts, I know that I serve a wonderful God who is working everything out in my favor right now.. And he’s doing the same for you right now.

Kinda crazy how he literally takes care of EVERYONE, but also so amazing. If that does tell you anything about how loving he is, then I don’t know what will honestly.

You know, I think it’s second nature and so easy to doubt yourself, trust me, I do it daily. But that’s where God steps in.. especially in those moments where it becomes too hard to bear.

Just remember to always lean on God. During amazing times, and during not so amazing times.

The bible is loaded with scriptures to lift us up when things get a little rocky and here’s a few that’ll give us a little “pick-me-up” when tough times do come.

Success: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed” - Proverbs 16:3

Relationships: “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure everything out on your own. Listen to God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s the one that will keep you on track” - Proverbs 3:5-6

Beauty: “Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised” - Proverbs 31:30

Worth: “She is worth far more than rubies” - Proverbs 31:10

Capability: “Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created” - Esther 4:14

“There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you will surpass them all” - Proverbs 31:29

Finances: “Where God guides, he provides” - Isaiah 58:11

It’s beautiful how God has the answer to our problems and doubts.

He always equips us for tough times and is there to save us from drowning.

Wherever you are right now, take the time to think about the things that fill your mind with doubt and say this prayer

Dear God,

You alone know me better than anyone in this world. I know that I am far from perfect in my eyes, but yet perfect in your eyes. I have times of doubt, more than I’d like to admit, and sometimes I feel like I’m drowning. But each time you’ve saved me. And I thank you for that. Even though I tend to forget in times like this, thank you for making me beautiful, worthy, and capable. Thank you for clarity in my current or future relationships. Lastly, thank you for providing and guiding me each and every day towards success. I am thankful for so many things, but mostly you, God. Without you, I’d have nothing else to be thankful for. And because of your unfailing love, I will never fall.
